Got an allocation from my cousin in Iowa who owns a Ford dealership and is selling to me at MSRP and going to ship it to me in San Francisco. He had to get a copy of my driver's licenses to create the order which is the first time he has had to do that. Thinks its to prevent dealers from making their own orders.

Options I selected:
44U 10-speed automatic
700A Deluxe Package
67P Handling Package
54C Appearance Package
21N Sport Seats
E1 Blue Ember Metallic

I went back and forth on 10-speed vs manual and if I should get the carbon wheels. I talked to flyhalf from trackmustangsonline.com who races NASA TT2 nationally in a s550 10-speed GT and decided to keep the 10-speed and get a square set of Apex wheels.

I'll be tracking it at:
Thunderhill
Laguna Seca
Sonoma Raceway

And having it serviced at Walnut Creek Ford as they are track friendly. Hopefully it will be built soon!

Congratulations on your order... Hadn't heard about that one either but I think it's a good idea for Ford to do that. Welcome to the site!

Has the 10 speed been tracked successfully in other mustang variants?

I don't know a whole lot about the road race scene but it certainly has in drag racing applications. They are still coming out with new developments as well so it should only get better.
