Howdy, Dark Horse folks. Proud owner of R9248, DH Premium. I've wanted a Mustang for years, & when the opportunity came along I couldn't say no...thanks to my beautiful wife's encouragement! Bought it with 1,920 miles on the odometer; the previous owner had basically kept it in his garage & polished it. Apparently, he was a nervous wreck every time he drove it, so he wanted it to go to someone who would use it.
That someone is most definitely me. I am in love. I expected the raw acceleration, noise, & thrills that come from an NA V8 with 500 HP. What I didn't' expect was the whole package; sublime 6-speed Tremec, suspension that both delivers & coddles, & THOSE Brembos...Holy Fecal Matter, are they effective. It's pretty amazing that a car that can deliver so much performance can then turn around & cosset me & the better half over to the coast. At first I was disappointed that it didn't have the Gurney flap, Trofeo R's, etc, but as a daily driver the Premium trim is hard to argue with. It makes it a much better Jekyll/Hyde car, & being from Oregon it has to be able to handle wet duty.
Anyway, my motto is "It ain't purty 'till it's dirty" so it serves as a daily driver, rain or shine.
I call him Sleipnir...I've never wanted vanity plates, until now maybe...
