From what I understand ford has to prove a modification causes the specific failure so no. For the whipple to keep your warranty you have to have it installed by ford.
Not necessarily, you can place an order through ford but the dealer has to convert it and it counts towards their allocation. until you get a build order it hasn't been accepted.
